Dr Mengdie Zhuang appointed Deputy Director of the Digital Health Hub for AMR
We are delighted to announce that Dr Mengdie Zhuang, the Hub’s Training Lead (Work Package 2), has been promoted to Deputy Director of the EPSRC Digital Health Hub for AMR.
This appointment recognises Mengdie’s unwavering commitment to the Hub and her ongoing contributions to its training and development workstream. Her leadership has been central to our vision of upskilling the next generation of researchers and professionals working at the intersection of AMR and digital health.
Mengdie will take on expanded strategic and operational responsibilities. She will contribute to high-level decision-making as a member of the management committee on budgets, risks, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring that we maintain a strong balance between skills development, research, public engagement, and collaboration with other EPSRC digital hubs. She will also play a key role in shaping future events, guiding research directions, and build partnerships with stakeholders across government, NHS, academia, and industry. The Hub’s management committee also ensures that ethical, financial, and academic standards are met across all work packages.
Dr Mengdie Zhuang said: "It is an honour to step into the role of Deputy Director. The Digital Health Hub for AMR brings together so many inspiring researchers, trainers, industry partners and government organisations and I’m excited to help strengthen our collaborative efforts, especially in making sure skills development and capacity-building are at the heart of everything we do. I look forward to supporting the Hub’s continued impact.”
