Applications Open: Diagnostics for Low- & Middle-Income Countries
Applicatons now closed. We are delighted to announce that applications are now open for this year’s Diagnostics for Low- & Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) Conference, hosted at Reuben College, Oxford on Tuesday 1st July and Wednesday 2nd July 2025.
Now in its third year, this collaborative event brings together researchers who are passionate about developing diagnostic tools to improve healthcare in underserved populations. Each year, the conference provides a unique opportunity to hear from global experts working across science, engineering, and clinical practice, all committed to tackling some of the world’s most pressing health challenges.
This year’s agenda is especially exciting, covering a wide range of cutting-edge topics, from novel biosensors and AI-driven diagnostic tools, to disease applications in neurology, cardiology, and infectious diseases. Attendees will hear keynote addresses from Professor Dame Molly Stevens, an expert in biomedical materials and diagnostics, and Professor Alan Bernstein, Oxford’s first Professor of Global Health.
The event will also feature perspectives from experts based in Africa, India, and Vietnam, offering invaluable insight into the realities of diagnostic deployment in real-world settings.
We’re currently seeking nominations for attendees. If you’re a student or early-career researcher working in digital health, diagnostics, or AMR, we encourage you to apply.
